Chicago Urban League Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation provides entrepreneurs of color the opportunity to establish, develop and sustain their businesses. through business mentorship sessions, networking events and access to financial services; supplier diversity certifications may also be obtained, as are proposals for public and private contracts. Additionally, free entrepreneurial webinars and mentors for startups are provided.

The Urban League currently provides services to over 6,300 job seekers and business owners who reside in Chatham. When it grows, supporters are able to help fund this growth by making planned donations for the Urban League; such donations will ensure that the work of the organization can be carried on for future generations.

INCubatoredu offers students the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship in a real way while they develop their own startup company. Students are guided by a mentor or instructor in every class to help them with their projects, such as removable foot pads that can be cleaned and social apps.

Students are taught to enhance their concepts as they progress through the program. This includes conducting market research, idea and customer explorations, prototype building, and pitches. This helps to develop teamwork, communication, and problem solving abilities, and also teaches students to adapt quickly to changing conditions.

Each team competes to win funding at the INCubatoredu National Pitch, which takes place every year. This opportunity provides teams with valuable networking experiences for investors, as well as helpful advice from top business executives and is a renowned event for its shark tank-style pitch sessions.
